You found
the mark.
This image is protected by Soho Live Studios. Here is what that means, and how you can work with it.
This asset is tracked.
Not every asset leaving our studios carries the mark. This one does. It is registered, in active use by Soho Live Studios, and tracked across the web.
To continue to make these promotional assets for our artists performances unauthorised use may result in a licence request or a removal demand.
The mark means this asset is in active use.
It does not mean it is free without credit.
Licensing our designs
Photography that has not been uploaded to platforms that strip the asset of the owners copyright, the rights sit squarely with the photographer, or with Soho Live Studios by agreement, this is where an asset was directed, edited or produced by us.
Photographers working in our venues and productions grant us usage rights for marketing, promotion and licensing.
Images carrying this mark must not be altered or edited without permission.
Please embed, don't re-upload.
Protected videos are hosted and registered on our YouTube channel. Embedding from youtube.com/@soholive is welcomed. Re-uploading without authorisation is not, and we track these too. Embedding does not apply to photographs. Any image carrying this mark needs permission, wherever you found it.
Re-drawn in studio.
Some images have been re-drawn using computer generative technology. The licensed tools we use grant commercial copyright to the studio. We very much favour art directed creation over any autonomous use or automation. Any work made with CGI carries significant art direction from our studios.
None of our assets are welcome in training, or as part of autonomous generative technology. This is where we see the barrier between music and noise. If you believe your work was used significantly and would like it reviewed or removed, please contact us.
Pragmatic. Good faith.
The mark earns nothing on its own. Most of the artists we create assets for are independent and arrive with little or no promotional material. Creating that work to the standard they deserve takes time, care and investment. The mark exists to acknowledge that work and help protect the people who make it, allowing us to continue creating for the next artist.
The creative landscape is evolving faster than the rulebook. We welcome a future where creative work is recognised, attributed and discussed before it is used, not afterwards. Until those standards become commonplace, the mark simply identifies the work behind the work, supports fair collaboration, and celebrates the designers, photographers, filmmakers and artists who make it possible.
