The Music
Koko Collective Band

Koko Collective bring a full band to the Giants of Bebop stage at Alfie's Jazz Club: horns, rhythm section and real collective energy behind the bebop repertoire, more than one soloist trading the lead across the set. It's a fuller, louder take on the Giants of Bebop format than a lot of the festival's smaller combos — a genuine band sound behind Parker and Monk's language, built for a room that likes its jazz played close and played hard. At Soho Jazz Festival, expect a set that treats bebop as ensemble music as much as a showcase for any one player.

Afternoon and early evening shows, doors from 12:00 to 18:30.

The Stage
Alfie's Jazz Club49 Greek Street, London W1D 4EG

Perched above the bustle of Greek Street, Alfie’s Soho is a private members’ jazz bar hidden in plain sight. Inside, it’s candlelight, curated art, and a grand piano that rarely stays silent. Signature cocktails, including the Soho Vodka Martini, accompany performances from some of Europe’s finest jazz musicians.

Membership or advance reservation only, never walk-in. It does not operate as a restaurant.

The Vibe
Giants of Bebop

A salute to the greats, played by the new: the standards and the language of Parker, Gillespie and Monk, carried by players making their name now. Bebop has Soho in its bones.
