Luminiah

Luminiah brings a sound that sits at the edge of jazz rather than squarely inside it — vocals, production and live instrumentation blurred together into something closer to a live studio session than a straight-ahead set. It's exactly the kind of booking Discovery was built to find: an artist working outside the festival's more traditional strands, given the same stage as anyone else on the bill. At 1664 Rosé Room, expect a set built on atmosphere and texture as much as melody, and a crowd that's come to hear something Soho Jazz Festival doesn't otherwise sound like that week.
