Forty Years of Swing: Festival Finale

Forty Years of Swing closes the Giants of Bebop strand with Andy Davies leading the finale set at Alfie's Jazz Club: trumpet out front, four nights of bebop and hard bop distilled into one headline slot. It's the biggest stage Davies has had across Soho Jazz Festival, and the set is built to match — a full band, a room packed for the last night, and a set list drawing on everything the strand has stood for since Wednesday's opening night. Expect the tempo pushed harder than anywhere else on the bill and a set that plays like the argument the whole strand has been building toward.

Perched above the bustle of Greek Street, Alfie’s Soho is a private members’ jazz bar hidden in plain sight. Inside, it’s candlelight, curated art, and a grand piano that rarely stays silent. Signature cocktails, including the Soho Vodka Martini, accompany performances from some of Europe’s finest jazz musicians.
