Alfie's Jazz Club
NightWednesday 16 Sep
Doors8pm to 11pm
Sets8:45–9:30pm

This show is on both passes.

The Music
Fraser Smith Saxophone

By the time Fraser Smith returns to the Alfie's Jazz Club stage, it's the headline slot: Giants of Bebop's tribute to Parker, Gillespie and Monk, carried by one of the players keeping that language alive on the London circuit today. Where his earlier quartet set played it straight, this one leans into the fire — tempos pushed, changes thrown at the band without warning, the sax out front daring the rhythm section to keep up. It's the kind of set Soho Jazz Festival's Giants of Bebop strand exists for: bebop's history treated as a living argument, not a museum piece, on the night it means the most.

The headline slot of the night, doors from 19:30 to 20:00.

The Video
The Stage
Alfie's Jazz Club49 Greek Street, London W1D 4EG

Perched above the bustle of Greek Street, Alfie’s Soho is a private members’ jazz bar hidden in plain sight. Inside, it’s candlelight, curated art, and a grand piano that rarely stays silent. Signature cocktails, including the Soho Vodka Martini, accompany performances from some of Europe’s finest jazz musicians.

Membership or advance reservation only, never walk-in. It does not operate as a restaurant.

The Vibe
Giants of Bebop

A salute to the greats, played by the new: the standards and the language of Parker, Gillespie and Monk, carried by players making their name now. Bebop has Soho in its bones.
