Reiss Ellis Beckles is a London-based alto saxophonist, composer and educator. A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, he completed an MA in Jazz Studies at the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College, New York, where he studied under Antonio Hart, Jeb Patton and David Berkman. His debut album Worlds Apart (2023, Beckles Soundworks) launched his group, which features pianist Rowan Hudson, bassist Tom Rivière and drummer Mark Hale. He has performed at Smalls Jazz Club in New York, Ronnie Scott's and Alfie's, and alongside Halsey, Jessie J and Robin Thicke as a session player. He is a department coordinator and module leader at Trinity Laban.
