August's last Friday at Alfie's belongs to the Greek St. Sessions, a featured Soho jazz star and band in the candlelit room upstairs. Two houses, over-18s, direct booking. Come for the first set and you will probably stay for the second.
Alfie's is a candlelit jazz bar above Greek Street where the tables sit close enough to the stage that you can hear the band talking between numbers. A grand piano anchors the room and the cocktails are taken as seriously as the music.
