Violinist Luke Doyle brings festive cocktail jazz to the Piano Bar.
Luke plays jazz on the violin with an unmistakably classical tone and a virtuoso's reach, swinging the standards with a lyricism that makes the room lean in. His quartet has been playing the standards around London this year, and he has played Alfie's Jazz Club for Soho Live Studios before.
The Night
This Christmas, Soho Live Studios puts twelve rising stars of jazz in lights. Soho's City of Stars, a Soho Jazz Festival series, spotlights the artists we believe in most, one night each at Alfie's Jazz Club and the Piano Bar at Jack Solomons, hand-picked for the moment just before everyone else catches on.
The Piano Bar at Jack Solomons, hidden off Great Windmill Street: candlelight, a cocktail crafted for one of Soho's characters, and a violin you'll be humming all the way home.
