The Night
Jack Solomons Club opens from 8:00 PM, DJ Juan takes the records from 10:00 PM, the sound building as the room does, free entry all night, complimentary reservations available. A proper room, a serious sound system, cocktails worth the trip on their own, and a crowd that arrived on purpose.
Members walk in with up to three guests when there is room.
The DJ
DJ Juan plays for positivity, joy and a full floor. Taught by his best friend, he bought his own decks and found his feet fast, and three years on his sets take an open-minded run through house, deep and soulful house, disco, tech house, techno and Afro-influenced sounds. He calls it the kitchen sink approach: broad, curious and led by the mood of the room. When he is not in the booth he is on stage across the street, in the cast of the West End musical Hadestown. At Jack Solomons Club, expect a bop and a smile.
