Greek St. Sessions ft. Emile Hinton is Alfie's doing what it was built for: the Trinity Laban-trained pianist and composer live one flight up above Greek Street, martinis proper and the studio grand set up for him. Two houses, 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, both close, both quick to go. The name's on the bill now; the standard never moves.
The Music
Emile Hinton studied Jazz Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire from 2019, mentored along the way by Cecil Du Valle, Tony Kofi, Steve Williamson and Byron Wallen. Cornish-born and London-based since 2018, he's a regular in Jean Toussaint's Quartet, won the Tina May Jazz Award in 2023 and sits on the Young Artists' Programme at The Musicians' Company. He's played Ronnie Scott's, the Vortex and Pizza Express Jazz Club, and records with his own trio alongside bassist Toby Yapp and drummer Kai MacRae. Trust the room, and this one delivers.
