Venezuelan pianist Pablo Barrios brings Latin fire to Christmas in Soho.
Pablo is musical director of the NYJO Latin Collective, the National Youth Jazz Orchestra's Latin big band, and has led it at the EFG London Jazz Festival. Salsa, son and Afro-Cuban grooves from a pianist who plays to be danced to, and who has had his own concert works premiered at Westminster Abbey along the way.
The Night
This Christmas, Soho Live Studios puts twelve rising stars of jazz in lights. Soho's City of Stars, a Soho Jazz Festival series, spotlights the artists we believe in most, one night each at Alfie's Jazz Club and the Piano Bar at Jack Solomons, hand-picked for the moment just before everyone else catches on.
Christmas cocktails at the Piano Bar at Jack Solomons: the menu crafted for the characters of Soho, the candles lit, and a piano that sounds like Caracas on a warm night.
