The Music
James Browne returns to the Piano Bar with the great standards, played by candlelight. He is a Piano Bar Soho regular and a founding member of the Koko Collective.
Best known for his stride, the Koko Collective's founding pianist is just as at home with a ballad, and plays the songbook with a sailor's swagger: before the music, James was an officer in the Royal Navy.
The Night
Some songs only work by candlelight. The Piano Bar, hidden inside Jack Solomons Club, was built for them: low light, a cocktail crafted for one of Soho's characters, and the songbook in its natural habitat.
