The Music
Arran Kent leads the Koko Collective, the band born in Soho's jazz clubs, back to Alfie's for swing. Arran is a Soho Live Studios regular, and led Giants of Bebop at Alfie's for Soho Jazz Festival '26.
Arran is a multi-reed man, saxophone and clarinet first, and the Koko Collective has taken his bebop and swing far beyond London, from Peggy's Skylight in Nottingham to Doddington Hall. He came up near Manchester and through the jazz course at Leeds, played clarinet in the klezmer band Tantz, and turns up on Jasmine Myra's albums for Gondwana Records on bass clarinet and flute.
The Night
The Koko Collective started out in the jazz clubs of Soho, so Alfie's is a homecoming. At 49 Greek Street the candles are lit, the Soho Vodka Martinis are poured, and the band is back where it began.
Also at Alfie's on Saturday 7 November.
