The Night
Jack Solomons Club opens from 8:00 PM, Thailah takes the records from 10:00 PM, the sound building as the room does, free entry all night, complimentary reservations available. A proper room, a serious sound system, cocktails worth the trip on their own, and a crowd that arrived on purpose.
Members walk in with up to three guests when there is room.
The DJ
House is where Thailah starts, and her sets travel from there through disco, amapiano, R&B, pop, Afrobeat and garage, finding the threads between records so the journey flows. A performer long before she became a DJ, she brings a feel for storytelling and atmosphere, and within her first handful of gigs she was booked in Doha during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. She has since played abroad, at the Wilderness and Wellnergy festivals and at venues across London and beyond. Four Tet is among her influences, and her favourite moment is a familiar record meeting a left-field find with the whole room along for the ride. She marks her USBs with crystals. At Jack Solomons Club, expect a new favourite tune, and possibly to miss your last train.
