Greek St. Sessions ft. Koko Collective is Alfie's doing what it was built for: a band that swings hard, a studio grand, and a room one flight up above Greek Street where the martinis are proper and nobody is more than an arm's length from the music. Two houses, 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM, both with a habit of selling through. Book the early house for talking, the late house for listening.
The Music
Koko Collective is a band of London players dedicated to anything that swings, led by saxophonist and clarinettist Arran Kent, with members who have come through Tantz, Nubiyan Twist and Noya Rao. Their Charlie Parker tribute for International Jazz Day is the stuff of Nottingham legend, and they played Soho Jazz Festival '26 right here at Alfie's.
A session with Koko means the 1940s at full tilt: swing era riffs, bebop heads at speed, blues with the lights down, and a band that listens as hard as it plays. They were here in October. This is the return visit, and the room remembers. Arrive early, order the martini, and let the Sessions do what they are named for.
