The Music
Award-winning pianist Emile Hinton and Detroit saxophonist Houston Patton meet for speakeasy swing at the Piano Bar. Emile has played Alfie's Jazz Club for Soho Live Studios before.
Emile won the Musicians' Company Tina May Young Jazz Artist Award, took a first from Trinity Laban under the mentorship of Julian Joseph, and has played piano for Jean Toussaint and Ricky Ford at the Barbican, and his trio has just released its debut album. He names Sonny Clark, Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner among his heroes. Alongside him is Houston Patton, a Detroit saxophonist who has played Minton's Playhouse in Harlem.
"I predict that he will rise rapidly through the ranks and be a musical force to be marvelled at" Jean Toussaint, on Emile Hinton
